This test program simulates the activities of a webcam logger. If your security
software is protecting you proactively, then the simulation should trigger a warning
message.
No warning means no proactive protection...
and probably no protection at all!
If the simulation does not trigger a warning, then your current security software
does not protect you against webcam-loggers.
However, if you download and install Zemana Antilogger, and then try the test, you
get a warning like this:
How to use the WebCam-Logger Test
Program
This program is like all our simulation software:
- Solely for testing purposes.
- Does not require installation—close
or delete it whenever you want.
- Runs visibly and completely under your
control.
- Cannot store (locally or remotely)
any data or information.
- Cannot damage your computer or system.
To start the test, click Start.
If your current software blocks screen loggers, then it will issue an alert like
this:
(We've cheated by using AntiLogger, which really does block webcam loggers.)
Since it's only a simulation, and does not store any information, allow it to continue.
The window displays what your webcam sees in real time.
Of course, a real webcam logger would violate your privacy by sending these images
elsewhere...
